马是一种很温和的动物，而且胆子非常的小，但是又很好奇。除非是他受到惊吓，或是感觉到安全受到威胁，要不然他不会有主动攻击的危险。然而，动物毕竟是动物，而且他又这么大，如果您不遵守这些注意事项，也可能会发生危险。
★请勿让小朋友在备马区或骑乘区附近奔跑嬉闹喧哗。请勿在马儿附近开自动伞。
★在任何情形下，请勿紧跟在马匹后面以免踢伤。
★请勿任意喂食马匹。喂食马匹水果等时，将水果切成小块，置于掌心，手掌要完全张开。
★请勿穿著拖鞋、凉鞋或赤脚牵马。 ★马匹大量运动后，请不要立刻让他喝水，或立即冲水洗澡，要等马儿体温下降以后，才能冲洗。
★野外骑乘时，请勿随意让马儿吃草。放牧时也要确定场地安全，以免农药中毒。 ★上马前一定让领队或马主检查一下肚带是否系紧，系紧后才能上马，肚带不系紧容易转鞍，这是最危险的。骑行中每隔一段时间也要检查一下肚带的松紧程度。
★选择鞍上带铁环的马，铁环帮助你保持平衡。
★上马时脚尖内蹬，下马时先左脚脚尖内蹬，然后松开右脚，然后下马。上下马脚尖内蹬很重要，一旦马受惊或拒乘而跑开，人至多摔一交，如果全脚套在蹬内，就会拖蹬，这是非常危险的。
★不要在林区边缘赛马和快跑，一旦马受惊或驾御失控，就会窜入树林，情形很危险。
★不要在马上脱换衣服，尤其是鲜艳衣服，马容易眼生，你换衣服时马受惊跑动，人一下就摔下来了。
★生手骑马容易磨伤小腿肚，大腿内侧和臀部，可以穿马靴和马裤，没有马靴马裤可以用护膝绑腿等替代。

1、不宜穿登山鞋、旅游鞋等鞋底带有特殊防滑功能的鞋
世界上几乎没有常骑马而没有落过马的人，人一旦从马上摔下来，最危险的就是脚无法脱开脚蹬，穿有带防滑功能的鞋，往往使脚无法脱开脚蹬。应该穿有跟且鞋底较平滑的鞋。同样，骑马不宜带金属边的眼镜，万一落马会对人造成很大的伤害。
2、骑马宜穿面料较柔软比较紧身的长裤，骑马最好带手套、护腿等防护工具。
3 、将身上的贵重物品交由不骑马的同伴或马场管理人员妥善保管，防止落马后摔坏。
4、接近马时接近马宜从马的左前方向，动作避免剧烈。剧烈的动作会使马受惊。 不要从马的后方接近马，也不要站在马的后面。
5、骑马下山（坡）尽量不要奔跑，防止造成马失前蹄。
6.骑马经过一段时间，需要检查肚带的松紧程度
7、坝上骑马，按规则是每匹马无偿配备一名牵马者。如无把握或属于新手，请不要让马夫离开。不用牵马如发生摔碰，理论上应由骑者自已负责。
8、坝上骑马，按规定是以最后一位骑手计算来回时间。例如一个10几个的小团队，第一名已出发半小时，最后一名才出发，则出发时间按最后一名计算。同理，结帐时也同样按最后一位回来的时间计时。就是说，如果10人有9个骑了1小时就回，第10位2个小时才返回，则均按2小时计算。简单些说，就是要求同走同回，安全也有保障。这条相当重要。
