The 22nd Teachers’ Day has just passed, and it is my third. Being called teacher for more than 3 years, I am still not used to the title, especially out of school. I still remember the time when I started my career as a teacher and was called by students with full respect and by friends with well-intentioned joking tones, I felt like sitting on a chair full of erect pins. Years passed, I still cannot fully accept the fact that I am a teacher, although I am told by the fellows in the office that I am doing a fairly good job.旅途中国 - 户外旅行门户网站u+l*Q8tJ*{WNyW~
Teahching, called the most honorable profession under the sunshine, is favored by an immense crowd of perople, among them, teachers in the universities and colleges are on the top, for they have more fexible time and is thought to have less pressure compared with other professions. It is often quoted that men are keen on university teachers to be their wives, for they may have more free time and afrord to take care of the family affairs. I regard it as a joke. What is thought more attractive is that the identity wins more respect. When I told my friend some doctors I visited in the hospital are much more kind and helpful after they learnt I was a teacher, he couldn’t help radiating his envious expression in his eyes with admiring guestures. The superficiality often overwhelms the facts in the eyes of people out of the profession. They see the merits, but never have the chance to experience the negative sides.
H)O^(ZuJ6H'L0 The friend I metioned is a bussinessman, three yeas ago he gave up an offer from a government office , chose his favorit career as a businessman. He is a man of fantasy and will. Being a businessman starts with low salary , which is only top of the iceberg above water surface compared with the salary of an governmental position, but he still sticked to what his heart wanted. He wants more freedom also, but the freedom he is longing is the freedom after success in his business. His work is tough, he has to overwork without any extra pay, and is often on business travel, sometimes 3 or 4 days out of a week.He endures it, now he is earning fairly larager sum of RMBs a governmental position can offer. Nevertheless, there are still risks as he describes.
